Based in the historic Deco Building on Melrose, Luly Events specializes in creating unique monthly gatherings, private parties, and special events that combine luxury, culture and high-energy nightlife. To help promote this new business we built a site in WordPress to herald upcoming events, show off previous events, and share the general vibe of the space. We had super fun photography and a vibrant to work with for this one.

Fired Up
Thrilled to share the design for FiredupBook.com—a high-energy home for Fired Up, the upcoming book by Shannon Watts.
This project was all about informing readers about the book and inspiring preorders. We used bold typography, punchy colors, and a scroll experience that keeps users moving forward. From pre-order CTAs to press kits and testimonials, every element was crafted to support action, clarity, and impact.
Designing for books with a mission? 100% my jam.
Shannon Reskin
It was an honor to reimagine the digital home of Shannon Watts prior to her book launch. Shannon is the founder of Moms Demand Action, author, and force of nature in the world of activism.
From a design perspective, this project was focused on clarity and impact. We leaned into a modern, typographically driven layout—balancing strong, assertive headings with generous white space and clean, readable body copy. We went bold with the color palette. but reined it in with neutral grounding tones to support accessibility and contrast.
On the UX side, I streamlined site architecture to showcase her work, media, and books quickly—while keeping calls to action consistently visible, especially on mobile (where her audience is strongest). Performance optimization and accessibility were non-negotiables throughout the build.
Designing for someone who inspires change at scale meant the site needed to feel fearless, focused, and future-forward. Mission accomplished.
Mighty Capital
Mighty Capital is a San Francisco-based early-stage venture capital firm. When they approached us for a redesign, they expressed that they wanted a minimalist aesthetic approach that helped potential partners quickly understand their mission, approach, and execution. We used a bold palette of limited colors and bold, direct text. The site shows off successful past partners, the firm’s strategy, and detailed history of the leadership team. Subtle animations add interest to the pages and linked information helps visitors quickly drill deeper into the content.
Moore Tax Law Group
Moore Tax Law Group is a woman-owned boutique tax controversy and tax litigation firm in Chicago, IL. The site was long overdue for a design update, which also proved to be an excellent opportunity to update the site content. We updated brand guidelines with new fonts and colors, using this to help breathe new life into the site. Using a bridge as a metaphor for the relationship of the lawyers and clients, we integrated video and photography from Chicago. We updated the site structure to make it easier to navigate and the partners rewrote copy to reflect changes in the site growth. We moved the site from a third party service to WordPress so it would be much easier for the team to keep updated.
Iona Monk
Iona Monk is a Vancouver-based therapist with more than 20 years experience. She wanted a site redesign that would clearly communicate her services and treatment philosophies in a visually compelling way, while making it easy to book a session. She also wanted a simple way to add blog posts to provide consistent advice for current and potential clients. To stay in her budget, we built her site in Squarespace. I’m so happy with how it turned out and just LOVED working with Iona! Check it out at the link below.

Check it out at the link below!

In addition to the WordPress site, we integrated a Substack site where you can subscribe for regular missives on a variety of compelling topics. Follow the link below to learn more!
