The O’Shea Agency

Coleen O’Shea is a New York-based literary agent with years of experience working with best-selling authors. When she founded her new firm—The O’Shea Agency—she asked me to create the site. I absolutely love the list of authors she represents—huge names in health, wellness, personal development, food and lifestyle titles.

Coleen wanted a simple, clean site that showcased her diverse network of clients and their titles. The result speaks for itself—a vast array of best-selling books in a variety of compelling genres. Check it out at the link below!

Sandra Carpenter Memorial Fund

When I moved to Cincinnati for my first job after college, Sandra Carpenter
was like my cool older sister. We bonded over work, food, friends, music, and just about everything else.

After she passed away in September 2019, I worked with her friends and family on the site for the Sandra Carpenter Memorial Fund which aims to support promising Ohio women writers who want to explore the world and write, like our dear Sandy. If you know a cool Ohio woman who might want to apply, or if you want to donate to the fund, check out the site below.

What Makes a Marriage Last

The site I built for Phil Donahue and Marlo Thomas’ new book (published by HarperOne launched on Valentine’s Day! In What Makes a Marriage Last, Phil and Marlo talk about their 40-year marriage and interview other famous couples about their enduring unions.

The book includes interviews and photographs from everyone from Elton John and David Furnish to President Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter. Super thrilled to be a part of this project.

As a side note, I’ve been a fan of Marlo’s ever since Free to Be You and Me, which IMHO was WAY ahead of its time. 💕

Annasea

Annasea is a seafood wholesaler, importer, exporter, processor and distributor based in Kent, WA. This family-owned business started 20 years ago with just six employees, but now has operations in the continental US, Hawaii, and Asia.

The goal of the site redesign was to show Annasea’s global growth and demonstrate their commitment to sustainable fishing and high-quality product. We also showcased their dominance in the emerging poke market. (Their products are found everywhere from Target to Costco.) We used custom video and photography to show the full spectrum of their business offerings. This is one of the most delicious projects to cross my desk in a long time. Legal Planet

Legal Planet is a collaborative blog from environmental legal scholars from UCLA School of Law and UC Berkeley School of Law. This site offers timely insight and analysis into energy and environmental law, inspired by the threat of climate change.

The schools came to me looking to refresh the design their site, make it more mobile friendly and bring the site software up to date. Since there are are more than 30 contributors, it had to be easy to maintain. The site also had to integrate a automatic newsletter which was sent with new posts.

I’m so happy how it all came together and even happier to partner with such smart people doing important work.

Helix Design + Build

I am excited to share the launch of the new site for Helix Design + Build, a Bellevue, WA-based home building and interior design business. WOWZA these are some beautiful homes—the hardest part was selecting the photos to use. I worked with the owner to equally promote the different services of the business and let the photography of past work for happy clients testify to their expertise.

Michael Golden

You might see Michael Golden talking politics on Chicago’s WGN, read his articles in national publications like The Washington Post, or listen to his interviews on the Golden Mean Podcast.

He’s also behind social initiatives like One Million Degrees and Spark Chicago and an experienced political consultant. In sum, Michael consistently brings talented people together and helps them create magic.

For his site redesign, Michael wanted a unique, color-saturated design that reflected the breadth of his work, showcased career achievements, and made it easy for site visitors to get in touch.

We worked closely for months to get it all just right. Michael says:

“When your name is part and parcel of your brand, designing your digital calling card becomes a totally personal process. I placed my trust in Lisa’s talent, instincts and judgment every step of the way as we developed my site. It’s one of the best business decisions I’ve ever made. I’ll go back to Lisa again and again on future projects because I know with 100% certainty that she’ll generate the same outstanding results every time. That level of trust is priceless.”

Thanks to Shawn Hazen for the sweet new logo design.

No Surrender

No Surrender tells the incredible story of Roddie Edmonds, a humble American WWII soldier from East Tennessee. Not even Roddie’s son Chris—who always considered his father a hero—knew the full details of Roddie’s capture at the Battle of the Bulge or his captivity at Stalag IXA, a Nazi POW camp. But when Chris’s daughter was assigned a family history project, Chris reread Roddie’s wartime diaries, which set in motion a series of life-changing events.

The site introduces this compelling story, showcases exclusive photography, and promotes upcoming tour dates. As always, I just love working with my book people any chance I get. Check out the website.

The Law School Playbook

Halle Butler Hara is a lawyer and law professor at Capital University. Her vision was to create a site that provides resources to help law students everywhere thrive—academically, emotionally, and practically.

Included is an extensive podcast series (available on the site, iTunes, Stitcher and Spotify), blog, and invitation to connect. We built the site in Squarespace and her talented husband Josh Hara created all of the illustrations. See the website.

Tanenbaum International Literary Agency

Tanenbaum International Literary Agency is a boutique firm located in New York City. With their site redesign, they wanted to tidy up the look and feel of the site, while still showcasing the wide range of their authors and books. Also, it was important to have the site optimized for mobile devices.

We used a dynamic slider to show the books, tightened up the copy, and made the navigation as simple as possible. I know I say this every time I work with a book-related project, but I absolutely love working with the folks in the publishing industry.
